Our Commitment

PluginCrates is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to our platform.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

PluginCrates is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard, often because of third-party integrations (like video players or payment gateways) that are outside of our direct control.

Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following features to improve accessibility:

  • Text Alternatives: Images and icons include appropriate alternative text (alt text).
  • Color Contrast: Our dark and light themes are designed to meet or exceed WCAG contrast ratios for text and interactive elements.
  • Reduced Motion: We respect the prefers-reduced-motion operating system setting by disabling non-essential animations and auto-playing videos.
  • Semantic HTML: We use correct heading structures (H1-H6) and ARIA landmarks to support screen readers.
